Dr. Ingole’s Research Page (Click Here) Background Dr. Ingole has experience in materials research and development. He worked at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India on high temperature mechanical properties of light metals and alloys and failure analysis. At GKSS Research Centre, Geesthacht, Germany, he was involved to develop and characterize the thixo-cast magnesium alloys and composites. Targeted applications for these alloys are automobile components. He pursued his doctoral studies at University of Alaska, Fairbanks in 2005 in mechanical engineering with research focus on nano-tribological characterization of engineered surfaces and biomaterials. He was a visiting scholar at mechanical engineering, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, during his doctoral studies. Before joining TAMUG, he was working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at mechanical engineering, TAMU College Station. At Texas A&M University at Galveston, he teaches the courses in the area of engineering materials, mechanics and design.
