Updated monthly, Contemporary Authors allows users to search for an author by name, title of work, nationality, date and place of birth and death, subject/genre, personal and career information, awards and honors, and more.
Contemporary Literary Criticism
Extensive collection of more than 11,000 critical essays on contemporary authors. Each entry contains a biographical/critical introduction, a list of principal works, critical essays, and sources for further study. Updated monthly, Contemporary Literary Criticism--Select allows users to search by author name, title of work, nationality, subject/genre, ethnicity, critic name, and more.
Dictionary of Literary Biography
Provides more than 16,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of the world's most influential literary figures from all eras and genres. Comprised of the Dictionary of Literary Biography series, includes the DLB main series, the DLB Documentary Series, and the DLB Yearbook Series.
Features full facsimile access to 96,000 titles catalogued in three classic works of early English scholarship. The individual titles are included in these works: Pollard and Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue, Wing's Short-Title Catalogue, and Thomason Tracts. The titles are searchable (author, title, printer, publication date, type of illustration, and LC subject headings).
