This image is a small thumbnail view of a Steller sea lion texture mapped model. The thumbnail links to a VRML or Virtual Reality Markup Language file of a Steller sea lion model. With a VRML enabled browser, the model can be rotated and turned around to any perspective. The browser can zoom in on the model and zoom out again. The model is of Woody, a sea lion that is sitting on all four flippers. This is the model from which the two alternating images earlier on this page were derived. The difference between a wire frame model and a texture mapped model is that in this texture mapped model the actual image content of the four original images which were used to create the model is projected onto the wire frame. This makes the model look more photo realistic than a bare wire frame model.
