Welcome to the disability access page of the Laboratory for Applied Biotelemetry and Biotechnology at the Department of Marine Biology at Texas A and M University Galveston!
Our main web page is built around multiple nested frames with navigation bars, two features which are difficult or impossible to use for people with disabilities. To provide full access to people with disabilities, we offer frameless navigation through a frameless site map. This site map navigation links to the same pages as the nested frame navigation bars. At the bottom of each page you will come across links to the framed LABB home page and links to the frameless site map. These links to the frameless site map will take you back to a place on the sitemap that linked you to the page you just visited, not the top of the site map. We also have a frame free version of the home page with the introductory information about this lab. This frame free home page does not have all the links to the bulk of the pages on this site. We recommend you visit the frame free home page for the introductory information, but then navigate through our site by using the frameless site map. All images on this site have alternate text, and the more complex images or graphics have explanatory text pages linked through a capital D in square brackets.
The index page to our web site, after the link that brought you here to this disability access page, has an image with the text "Texas A and M University at Galveston", followed by a moving logo for our lab. This is what our logo looks like. On a background of a maroon gradient are the capital letters LABB. The first three L A and B are in solid black, the last B is in solid back with circuitboard traces overlayed in white. To the right of the letters is a sitting sea lion with a telemetry device on its back. From a small antenna protruding from this device radio waves are emitted towards the last letter B. In unison with the pulsing radio waves several of the circuitboard traces are pulsing in red.
Following the lab logo is an image with the text "Laboratory for Applied Biotelemetry and Biotechnology". Both the lab logo and this text image are links to the framed version of our web page.
Following the text image is an image with the logo of Texas A and M University at Galveston. This is followed by a link to the frameless site map.
The index page as well as all our main pages are on a maroon background, the Aggie color.
To email the LABB webmaster, look up our contact information on the frameless home page.
All
pages available through the frame-free site navigation map
have been approved by the Center for Applied Special Technology for their accessibility
to people with disabilities, through testing with version 3.2 of the CAST Bobby
software for priority 1 errors only. This approval does not extend to the framed
version of this web-site.
