Human Resources, TAMUG Staff Council and The Climate and Inclusion Committee are pleased to announce two training opportunities on the Galveston Campus. Both courses are presented by TAMU Employee & Organizational Development and are part of the Constructive Communication in the Workplace and Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace certification programs.

Communication skills are developed and may be enhanced or improved with increased knowledge and practice. During interpersonal communication, there is message sending and message receiving. This can be conducted using both direct and indirect methods.

This workshop introduces foundational knowledge and skills of interpersonal communication. Participants receive an overview of the communication process, explore common communication pitfalls, assess their preferred communication style(s), and learn and practice a variety of strategies for improving interpersonal communication in the workplace.
