Description of Duties & Responsibilities |
Maintain the Sea Life Facility. This includes cleaning, maintenance of equipment, doing water chemistries, working with bleach and other chemicals and a lot of teamwork. This person will also be a part of the team that is responsible for providing educational "tours" of TAMUG's research projects and the Sea Turtle Recovery Program for visitors to our Outreach Center, as well as, VIP tours to the facility. |

Job Qualifications |
The ability to assume responsibility and accountability for assisting with research projects conducted in the Sea Life Facility is required. Applicants with previous work experience involving direct contact with sea turtles, preferably previously or currently listed on a Federal or State permit to handle sea turtles and one year or more years of experience will be given preference. Must not be graduating before December 2013. Must be able to communicate science to the public is required. |
