Position Description

Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach in maritime and/or transportation service marketing, governance of ports and shipping firms, and marketing as it relates to policy and development. The appointee will also engage in high impact research.  This is a full time 4 ½ month non-renewal Visiting Assistant Professor position.  The anticipated start date is the Spring 2017 Semester.  Texas A&M University at Galveston is the maritime branch of Texas A&M University.  The Department of Maritime Administration focuses on the business of shipping, port management and logistics.

 

Education, Experience and Expectations

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D., D.B.A., E.E.D. or ABD in either marketing or a closely related field in maritime studies (waterborne commerce foreign and domestic), or a marketing type communication in social studies. 

Those with university teaching experience and a background in the maritime industry are encouraged to apply.  

 Appointment

This is a full time 4 ½ month non-renewal Visiting Assistant Professor position.
