Position Details |
Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) seeks a non-tenure track Instructional Assistant Professor of Maritime (Business) Administration to teach undergraduate and possibly graduate courses in economics and statistics. The appointee will also engage in student advising and university service. This is a full-time, nine month renewable position. The anticipated start date is the Fall 2013 Semester. Texas A&M University at Galveston is the Marine and Maritime Branch of Texas A&M University. The Department of Maritime Administration focuses on the business of shipping, port management and logistics. |

Education, Experience and Expectations |
MINIMUM qualifications include a Ph.D. in Economics. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in the maritime industry and two plus years of classroom teaching experience in a university and/or college setting. Several years of classroom teaching experience in a university and/or college setting. Preferred - Five or more years of university and/or college teaching experience. |
