Position Description

The Department of General Academics at Texas A&M University at Galveston invites applicants for a non-tenure-track position as a Part-Time Lecturer. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 1 section of ARTS 150, Art History Survey II for the fall semester; teaching during the summer semester is negotiable on an as-needed basis.

Applicants for this position preferably will have a terminal or Master level degree in the field, or in a related field to the one in which the faculty member will teach.

This is predominantly a teaching position, so the successful candidate is expected to have an exceptionally strong commitment to excellence in teaching, and other interactions leading to overall student success. Applicants will be evaluated based on current credentials as well as potential for future development.

 

Education, Experience and Expectations

Terminal or Master level degree in the field, or in a related field to the one in which the faculty member will teach.
