New Graduate Student Arrival Checklist: Orientation

What to Bring to Orientation:

  • For those needing to park on campus: Please display your hangtag parking permit properly during Orientation.  You can purchase an annual student parking permit during the month of August by visiting http://transport.tamu.edu. To determine where to park on campus, please see “Parking and Check-In” section below.
  • Comfortable, casual shoes and clothing – It will be hot outside, but bring a light jacket as buildings can be cold.
  • Pen and paper
  • For Payroll - Social security card and driver’s license for those needing to be on payroll – these documents must be originals.  No copies are allowed.  For proper identification for international students, please check with the Graduate Studies Office prior to Orientation by emailing gradstudies@tamug.edu.
  • Make sure you know your UIN and Howdy log-in (i.e. Net-ID)

Parking and Check-In:

Orientation Check-In occurs from 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM at the Small Banquet Dining Room in the Northen Building on the Mitchell Campus.  For directions to get to the Mitchell Campus, please visit www.tamug.edu/directions.html

With your student parking permit proceed to the North Entrance and park in the large lot closest to Building 3004.
