The Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) Academic Scholarship fund
was created to recognize academic excellence for students at Texas A&M
University at Galveston. It is not limited to any one major and it awards
$1,000 an academic year, split evenly over fall and spring, and provides
in-state tuition to non-Texas resident students. This award is not
automatically renewable in subsequent years. The scholarship is based
solely on the student’s academic performance at Texas A&M University at
Galveston and it is not based on financial need. The students in each
classification (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) with the highest
GPA's will receive the scholarship. Approximately 15 - 20 students per
class receive the scholarship each year. The TAMUG Academic Scholarship is
only applicable for Galveston campus students and the funds will not
transfer to College Station or any other university for those students
transferring mid-year. |
