During 2012, there will be many events at our Galveston campus and at the College Station campus that celebrated the Texas A&M University at Galveston and its history, as well as showcase current and future projects and research.

Spring 2012

February 24, 2012- Golden Anniversary Year Celebration for TAMUG

Celebrate half a century of Sea Aggies.

What we’re celebrating:
On February 24, 1962, the Board of Directors of  the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College System established the Texas Maritime Academy (forerunner of today’s TAMUG).

  • Free copies of the original document establishing the school

  • Unveiling of the special 50th anniversary logo

  • Cutting of the golden anniversary cake

  • Opportunity to sign a historical TAMUG poster

  • And more!

Fall 2012

We want you to be a part of the 50 year legacy of Texas A&M at Galveston! A bird's eye photo will feature TAMUG staff, students, and faculty creating a human "50" on the gym floor. We will need your help to happen. Please stay tuned!
