MAST 120/ KINE 199
Co-enrollment in MAST 110 and KINE 199 is required.
Have dives under your belt already? Feeling ready to take the next step in your training? NAUI Advanced Open Water is the next stop. You will learn key parts of planning dives to deeper depths, along with balancing air consumption with no-deco times. You will also be introduced to mixed gas diving with NAUI Nitrox Diver, which has been added into the advanced curriculum.
We are excited to announce that for the first time, advanced open water training will be done in Florida! This is an optional four day trip for those wishing to gain certification.
Diving day one will be aboard one of the vessels provided by Panama City Dive Center. The trip will begin with a transit out to seagrass beds for a BBQ and snorkeling adventure. After lunch we will ride out to the site of a wreck for the first dive. The next two dives will be on an artificial reef (bridge span), the second dive on this structure will be a night dive. http://www.pcdivecenter.com/
The second day of diving will occur at Morrison Springs County Park. At this site students will get to explore the spring and its many freshwater habitats and have the opportunity to be taken on a guided cavern dive. The cavern on site extends to about 90' and is the home of freshwater eels.
The final day of diving will occur at our campsite, St. Andrews State Park. The park allows us to dive directly off the beach to explore the jeddies. http://www.floridastateparks.org/standrews/
