Don And Carol Harper Scholarships In Marine Invertebrate Zoology III

Established: 2017 by Donald E. Harper, Jr.

Purpose: To provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston.

Additional Selection Preferences:

  • Must be a junior or senior enrolled in the Marine Biology Department at Texas A&M University at Galveston
  • Must have a 2.5 GPR or higher in both major and overall curriculum
  • Have a demonstrated interest in a field of marine invertebrate research
  • Have completed Invertebrate Zoology with a grade of B or better
  • Demonstrate financial need for the scholarship
  • The scholarship shall be renewable for one year after the initial award
  • To retain the scholarship, the student must:
    • Maintain a 3.0 GPR or better in both major and overall curriculum
    • Continue to have a demonstrated interest in a field of marine invertebrate zoology
