Aggie Crew

The Aggie Crew has had many lives here at Texas A&M University at Galveston. The current group of rowers stem from a team that dates back to the fall of 1997. This team was started by Paul Hughes, a young Maritime Systems Engineering major who had visited the campus a couple years prior and was eager to become a part of the rowing team. To his dismay, the team was no longer in existence when he arrived as a student. So he did the only thing he could do --- he started the team back up! Through the support of local rowers from the Bay Area Rowing Club and former TAMUG rowers, Paul was able to rebuild the team.

Currently the team has between 30-40 rowers during any given semester.
