settling in to their watches, day work and training. They really seem to
be enjoying themselves. The senior cadets began their Medical Provider
course today.
We are now off the coast of Baja California and the atmospheric conditions are improving so that the cadets began working on their celestial project today. Amanda Samuels reported that she already has gotten a star fix this morning and two azimuths. Sammy Baiamonte and Adam Shuptar have started shooting stars and sun lines too. Ronald Williams was working on deck with a needle gun chipping a rust spot so that it could be painted. Two pods of whales were sighted off San Diego yesterday. Since we are in a good fishing area, many cadets began dragging their fishing lines behind the ship this evening when the days work ended.
