Graduated with the first class from Texas Maritime Academy in 1996 with an Unlimited Third Mate’s License.  Worked for Skaugen PetroTrans lightering offshore. Then transferred to Houston Marine Services as Captain upon a 100 T vessel. In 1998, I returned to Skaugen PetroTrans as Mate upon a Lightering Support Vessel carrying equipment to VLCC offshore.  Spent short time working in Maersk Office and transferred to Texas A&M University in Galveston the summer of 2000.
