Some cadets were up early this morning shooting stars.  A few cadets still have to finish their star days.

Currently, the weather is sunny and we are 12 miles off Jamaica which is on our port side.  Our competent navigators, Cadets Compass and Entzel, have been practicing terrestrial navigation by taking ranges and bearings off of land and plotting positions on the chart.  After plotting their positions on the chart, they are double checking their work by plotting a GPS fix on the chart.

Today, maintenance finished painting the q-deck.
