Trivia

"Horsepower" refers to the power of engines.  What is the term referring to  in terms of calculated power?

Yesterday's  Answer:
Keelhauling is a form of punishment by hauling a man under the bottom of a vessel form one side to another with lines attached to his hands and feet.  The Dutch Navy was the first to keelhaul sailors.  However, the British soon adopted the practice as well.  This form of punishment which virtually guaranteed death continued from approximately 1560 until 1853 when keelhauling was abolished.

storms

This morning, the swells have been 6' to 8' and building as winds gust over 35 knots.  The sky is overcast with passing squalls.  For many cadets, this is the first time they have seen such weather.  Sickbay has been busy this morning administering patches for seasickness, however the majority of the cadets are doing fine.  Unfortunately, cadets were not able to get stars this morning due to the weather.

Cadets on maintenance are making rounds to ensure everything is secure.
