Trivia

The "midnight sun" occurs when and where?

Yesterday's  Answer:
What is the distance of a marine league?  A "marine league" is three nautical miles.  A nautical mile is 6,076 feet and a statute mile is 5,280 feet.  A nautical mile is the equivalent of 1.15 statute miles.

mastThis morning at 0700, we changed course to 073° to head across the Atlantic Ocean towards Ireland.  The tentative ETA  for Cork, Ireland is June 28 at 0900.  This morning, with the help of the Gulf Stream, the Texas Clipper II was making over 15 knots.  Currently, we are making approximately 11.4 knots.  Today is sunny with a 4' to 6' following sea.
