Trivia

The Texas Clipper II has many dogs aboard.  What is the reason for having the dogs aboard and where are they kept?

Yesterday's Answer:
The term "Chow-Chow" refers to an assortment of mixed, broken, or miscellaneous cargo on a ship.

cleaning

Yesterday cadets did a great job of cleaning the interior of the ship.  All decks are waxed and bulkheads scrubbed and brass polished.  Last night after dinner, cadets relaxed in the afterbar to watch a movie and talked about how much they enjoyed the field day.

Cadets were up early this morning shooting stars while the engine cadets and engineers worked on the starboard engine's governor.  Tentatively, we are set to have parts sent out by launch to the ship off Port Everglades.  However, we may have to go into port and have technicians work on the governor.

This afternoon at formation a personnel inspection was held by the Corps Staff.  Overall, the cadets looked excellent and very squared away.

Cadets and crew are eagerly awaiting for the ship to get off the Florida coast in order to make call from their cell phones.

Weather is beautiful with a few passing squalls which has washed the exterior of the ship.
