Protect your PC, for free, with McAfee Anti-virus software from software sells in College Station.

The latest virus update packages can be found on Mnet, these include Stinger, Ad ware, McAfee, and Windows Updates. Stinger and Windows updates are constantly being updated and it is advisable to run Stinger and check/update your system often.

We recommend that students using Windows XP set automatic updates “ON” by going to the ‘Control Panel,’ in ‘Classic View’ click on ‘System.’ In ‘Category View’ click on ‘Performance and Maintenance,’ then click on ‘System,’ and click on the ‘Automatic Updates’ tab to choose and automatic updates option.

To access the Anti-Virus Download Area on Mnet:

  1. Go to http://mnet.tamug.edu/.
  2. On the main Mnet homepage in the section for everyone, there is a link named “Virus Protection & Windows Updates
  3. Click the link and it will take you to the Anti Virus download page.
