Account Access Information

ACTIVATING NEO / CREATING NETID

All enrolled students need to activate their Neo Account upon registration and create a Net ID.

This Net ID is what the student will use to access their University email account http://neo.tamu.edu.

This NETID will also be used to access important student information from Aggnews, Aggie E-Pay, My Record, SFS, SFA and WebCT Vista. (This email account CAN NOT be forwarded out to another email account outside the University. ALL Students email accounts will be the NETID they created when activating their NEO account, example: NETID@tamu.edu) Students ARE required to regularly check this email account at http://neo.tamu.edu.

If you have forgotten your Username or Password, go by the CIS office (CLB 115), Tony Quigg can MARK your account, to allow you to RESET your password, Please be sure you have your student ID with you. Bob Scribner in Admissions and Records in SAGC Rm #912 can also MARK your account, to allow you to RESET your password.

  1. Your "NETID" aka "Neo" email name will be used to control access to a number of systems, so we suggest using something simple "like your initials (two if no middle name) and the last four digits of your SS#. For example: John Z. Doe: email jzd0123".
     
  2.  It is important that all students use their NEO email account because this is the email address that will be used to contact you with information from professors, student organizations, "Aggnews", and other TAMU University System announcements in a timely manner.
     
  3. Access Neo by typing in the URL into any web browser window http://neo.tamu.edu.
