Thomas E. Bowman & Thomas M. Iliffe (1986). Halosbaena fortunata, a new thermosbaenacean crustacean from the Jameos del Agua marine lava cave, Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Stygologia 2:84-89.

Halosbaena fortunata, the first marine thermosbaenacean, is reported from the Jameos del Agua marine lava cave, Lanzarote, Canary Islands. It is compared with its only congener, Halosbaena acanthura, from Curacao, West Indies, and the Tethyan origin of the genus is discussed.
