Deeveyinae, a new subfamily of the Halocyprididae (Ostracoda, suborder Halocypridina) is proposed for Deeveya spiralis, a new genus and species of troglobitic ostracode from an anchialine cave in the Turks and Caicos Islands, West Indies.  The new genus and species is described and illustrated.
