The Career Services office is willing to try and meet the needs of every
employer. Typical employer programs include:
On-Campus Recruiting
We will be happy to schedule and arrange
on-campus interviews or presentations on our campus at your convenience.
Please schedule events at least two weeks in advance to allow candidates
timely notification of your visit. We will collect resumes from
interested candidates and arrange interview schedules
Job Postings
Job postings
are emailed directly to our current and former students free of charge
through our Email Distribution Network. We will also post your positions
on our former student job posting site at your request. Send all job
postings to studentservices@tamug.edu.
Employers are also welcomed to join and post positions on the 'TAMUG
Career Planning' Facebook page.
Part-time, Summer, and Christmas Jobs
We will post
short-term job opportunities, schedule interviews or refer qualified
students to you in order to assist you in meeting your employment needs.
Career Fairs
We have several Career Fairs during the year including a fall and a
spring career fair and two part-time job fairs which cater to
opportunities with local Galveston businesses.
Degree Plans Offered
Texas A&M University at
Galveston (TAMUG) is an ocean-oriented campus offering education,
research and public service in science, engineering, business, and
transportation. U.S. News and World Report lists our engineering
programs as being among the top 50 in the United States. Time Magazine
listed us as one of four excellent public colleges in Texas. TAMUG
includes the Texas State Maritime Academy, one of the only six state
maritime training academies in the United States and the only one
located on the Gulf of Mexico.
