Awards

A call for nominations for the Chief Operations Officer’s Meritorious Service Awards and the William Paul Ricker Faculty/Staff Award will be sent in November / December each year.

To begin the nomination process*, a single nomination paragraph in a Word document attached to your email should be sent to EmplRecognition@tamug.edu before 5pm on December 7, 2016The nomination should include:

  • Nominee’s name, position, and department
  • Award name and category to which this individual is being nominated
  • Paragraph describing how your nominee fits the award’s criteria
  • Include your name, email, phone number

The single paragraph nominations will be presented to the Executive Leadership Team for staff and extended Aggie family nominations and the Academic Leadership Team for faculty nominations.  The Leadership Teams’ will make a determination, based on the nominations received, as to which nominations will move forward.  Up to 3 individual nominations per award will move on to the Selection Committee.

Once that determination has been made, the nominator will be notified to provide a full letter of nomination and provide at least one letter of support (maximum of 2 letters and no longer than 2 pages each) and send to EmplRecognition@tamug.edu.  Faculty nominations for the Outstanding Classroom Teaching Award category should also include a curriculum vitae.
