Before you attempt to preregister, please check that you have no blocks. Blocks will prohibit preregistration and many of these are critical to resolve (such as getting advised or submitting a transcript). Your account may be checked on http://myrecord.tamu.edu

 

Academic advising has proved critical to academic success, and we encourage all students to visit with their Faculty Advisor prior to preregistering on the web or in their department.

Note:  If you plan to use the email provided to ask questions, please do so several days prior to your scheduled preregistration day to give the responder plenty of time to provide you an answer.

 

*MARA/MART advisors will be located on the second floor of Evans Library (the main library) in the large area outside of the Writing Lab (Room 210F) from 9 AM to 5 PM, November 19-21, and on November 24. Appointments are not needed. It will be helpful if students have reviewed their schedule requirements for the spring term and have a draft schedule that they can review with their advisors. Subsequent to the 24th, students may consult with their advisors by telephone and e-mail regarding their schedules.

**MARB/MARF students may walk-in for departmental advising Monday-Friday now through November 24th at the posted building location.

***GRPH is the Graphic Services Building.

****MARS/OCRE/USGA Contact Number 281-910-0047 will only be available Monday, November 24, 2008 from 11am – 4pm.

 

 

Please note that:

·         Every eligible UNDERGRADUATE student will be assigned a start date for preregistration (times listed below).

·         GRADUATE students are not assigned a start date like undergraduate students. Graduate students, including G6 classification, may register any day the preregistration system is available beginning November 19, 2008. Please check the preregistration schedule.

·         Beginning November 19, 2008 at 5 a.m. thru January 16, 2009 Spring registration will be open Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) 24 hours a day. The system will open at 12:01 a.m., Monday and close at midnight Friday. Thereafter registration is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. unless otherwise noted below. Undergraduates may register for up to 17 hours for the spring semester (graduate students are restricted to 16 hours) during the November 19 – January 16 registration period.

·         If additional hours are approved by your department, please fill out the overload request form (found here: http://www.tamug.edu/admrc/Records/forms/Overload.pdf ), turn the form into the Office of Admissions and Records (located in the GSC until the completion of the Fall 2008 Semester here in College Station) and we will help you.

·         December 15, 18 and 22 online registration will be unavailable from 10 p.m. to midnight.

*Changes to an existing class schedule may result in additional tuition/fees; payment must be made by 3 p.m. in the Student Financial Services Office or by 5 p.m. online  (https://epay-tamug.tamu.edu/tamug-payments/credentials.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2ftamug-payments%2fwhat-i-owe.aspx) the day the changes are made to avoid a late fee or cancellation of class schedule.
