TAMUG Prospective Students

Are you interested in becoming a Sea Aggie but want a chance to check things out for yourself? Sea Aggie Preview is your chance! Preview is designed for high school juniors and seniors just like you.

The goal of Preview is to offer prospective students a glimpse of what it means to be an Aggie at Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG). Preview is an over-night event that offers offers prospective students an opportunity to meet current students, witness Aggie traditions like Yell Practice and to participate in Questions & Answer sessions about TAMUG hosted by academic departments, Admissions, Student Life and Financial Aid. There will even be a session when you can apply for admission! Students who choose to spend the night on-campus will stay with a student host in one of our three residence halls. On-campus housing for Sea Aggie Preview is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the event does not guarantee on-campus housing. Mail your name and date attending along with a check for $25.00 (pay to TAMUG) to Sea Aggie Preview P.O. Box 1675 Galveston, TX 77553. Additional guests or parents pay $20. Parents and guests are invited to attend all activities, except the late evening activities on Thursday. Registration for this event does not guarantee housing. No refunds will be available after Nov. 1 (fall) or Feb 1 (spring). For parents and guests, other overnight accommodations must be made by the individual. The historic Tremont House hotel, located minutes away in the Strand district of Galveston, offers a special rate for parents and guests of students attending Preview. Prospective students who are interested in being a part of the Texas Maritime Academy and Corps of Cadets can use this opportunity to Spend the Night with the Corps and learn more about this exciting program which combines your college study with hands-on experiences leading to a professional career as an officer in commercial shipping.
