Airport Transportation
Hobby airport is approximately a 45 minute drive and Intercontinental (George Bush) is approximately a 70 minute drive from TAMUG.  Galveston Limousine has a shuttle service at each airport and can provide transportation to and from the campus.  You may contact Galveston Limousine at 1-800-640-4826 or visit them online for airport schedules at http://www.galvestonlimousineservice.com/

On-Campus Conference Housing
On campus housing is available for the first two freshman conferences, the Bridge conference, and the July transfer conference. Students attending the last freshman or transfer conference in August must have been awarded campus housing for the Fall to stay on campus during the conferences. We are unable to provide housing for parents and guests. A list of hotels can be found at www.Galveston.com.

Each residence hall is air-conditioned and arranged in suites with two rooms sharing a bathroom. Please bring bedding and overnight gear if you are staying on campus.

To check in for campus housing please go to the Residence Life Building. The staff will provide you with a temporary key. Please make sure your door is locked when you are not in the room. At the end of your conference please check out and return the temporary key. All students staying on campus must abide by Residence Hall Rules and University Rules.

Off-Campus Housing Options
There are many hotels and bed and breakfast on Galveston Island. For hotel accommodations, please visit www.Galveston.com, or call 1-888-425-4753. The Galveston.com site lists almost all the hotels and current rates in Galveston.

Dining
Most meals are provided during the conference. However, it is strongly encouraged to bring additional money for snacks. If you are arriving Tuesday for testing you will be responsible for your meals. The cafeteria will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and there are numerous restaurants located on Galveston Island.

Parking
Parking is available on campus. New Student Conference participants are encouraged to park in the Sea Aggie Center parking lot. The campus police will not issue tickets during the New Student Conference.
