Registration Notes

In order to receive departmental and/or course subject advising notes, you may click any of the subject names below to quickly bring you to these specific notes.  At minimum, contact information is listed in each area in case you have questions in a particular subject area.

Sectional notes (things like prerequisites for a specific class, notification that another course must be registered concurrently, unique class locations, etc.) can be accessed online by clicking here.  Once this website is up, take the following action:

1.    Click “semester (such as Spring 2013) – Galveston (View Only)” from the drop down menu.

2.    Click the “Submit” tab at the bottom of the screen.

3.    Click the appropriate search items to look for a course you are interested in taking.

4.    Click the “Class Search” tab at the bottom of the screen.

5.    If a course has a sectional note (not all courses have one), then this information will be listed just below the course name at the top of the screen.

Example:  The CHEM 227 401 sectional note says, “PREREQUISITES: MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED CHEM 101 AND CHEM 102.”

Note:  If you are searching for a course via logging into Howdy, once you search for a course click on the CRN (Course Reference Number) hyperlink from the results of your search to view sectional notes.  Please contact the Registration and Records office at 409-740-4414 for further assistance.
