Testing for Entering Freshmen
 

Advanced Placement (AP)
Texas A&M University at Galveston accepts scores on certain College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program examinations for credit in selected courses. Up to three semesters of credit in a subject may be awarded. Interested students should contact their high school counselors for information on registration and test sites. Students should refer to the current University catalog to determine which courses apply to their degree programs. The AP examinations are administered annually in the late spring at high schools, usually those offering the College Board Advanced Placement courses. Students who take these examinations should have the College Board report their scores to Texas A&M University at Galveston. Scores from the Spring testing will not be received until late July. The College Board Code for Texas A&M University at Galveston is 6835. Credit will be awarded for qualifying scores on the following AP examinations.

SAT II Subject Achievement Tests

The College Board Achievement test are administered by various high schools and colleges on national testing dates from October through the first week in June. To register for a national test date, students should obtain the registration bulletin from their high school counselors.
