Dr. Tammy Holliday

Dr. Tammy Holliday came to Texas A&M University at Galveston in 1988 as a postdoctoral fellow in environmental chemistry. Her background was in aquatic toxicology and human health. Dr. Holliday transferred to the Research Management Office in 1996.
As Associate Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, she is currently responsible for the general administration of proposals, grants and contracts, the Texas Institute of Oceanography, facilitation of Galveston based TAMU graduate students, and, more recently, the implementation of the first Galveston based graduate program.
She has B.A. (cum laude) in Chemistry and Anthropology/Sociology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Toxicology from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia.
