Athletic Field Renovation and Sand Volleyball Court Expansion
Recreational Sports has seen unprecedented growth in the number of programs offered and the number of student participants. The current athletic field was constructed in the mid-1970s and, over time, has only seen minimal enhancements. In June 2017, Recreational Sports commenced an aggressive renovation schedule to properly level and crown the existing athletic field. In addition, this project will add critical irrigation and drainage, replace the current backstop and add end line netting.
In addition, with the increased demand for the sand volleyball court, Recreational Sports is adding a second court along with state-of-the-art lighting.
Both projects were selected by Recreational Sports based upon survey data collected from the student body.
