Ms. Susan Hernandez Lee
Vice President for Finance, Texas A&M University at Galveston

Ms. Lee reports directly to the VP and CEO of Texas A&M University at Galveston and is responsible for the administration and oversight of the annual budget as well as strategic financial analyses and financial issues.  Areas of responsibility include Legislative Appropriation Requests along with preparation for hearings before state legislative committees and system boards, presentation of budgets before the Texas A&M University President and the System Board of Regents, review and certification of the Annual Financial report of Texas A&M at Galveston, oversight of all insurance policy renewals and payments, oversight of all disaster reimbursement paperwork and reimbursements,  and financial oversight of all department account managers.  Additionally, this position is responsible for negotiation and coordination of the shared services agreement between Texas A&M University Division of Finance and Texas A&M University at Galveston for the processing of daily financial transactions and detail preparation of the annual financial report.

Susan has a BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Houston graduating with the Dean’s Academic Excellence Award.  Work experience includes 10 years in private industry and 20 years in Higher Education Administration.

Susan is married to George Mahlon Lee and they have one daughter Erin Lee Silva who is a singer and entertainer.
