Academic Advising
|
|
Each student attending TAMUG is assigned a faculty advisor by his or her
academic department. Students are encouraged to meet with their
assigned advisor regularly. Department advisors are the best
source for academic questions as they relate to a student's degree plan.
The Office of Academic Enhancement does provide general academic
advising in the areas of course registration, time management, and study
skills. In an effort to provide quality advising, students are
encouraged to schedule appointments with one of our staff
members. |

Academic Integrity
|
|
For many
years, Aggies have followed a Code of Honor:
An
Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal,
or
tolerate those who do.
The Aggie Code
of Honor functions as a symbol to all Aggies,
promoting
understanding and loyalty to truth and confidence in each other.
On
September 1, 2004, a new honor system was put in place to help prevent
and deal with academic dishonesty. You can find more information on this
program, called "Know the Code," on the Office of the Aggie
Honor System's website at

Applications of
Learning Theory - CAEN 101
Succeeding in College
|
|
Applications of Learning
Theory is a course designed to
assist students with the transition to college, both academically and socially. A successful transition is dependent upon self
reflection and understanding, and the development of good habits and
decision making. Topics such as time management, goal setting, and
study skills are the foundation of each student's ability to be a success in
college. Succeeding in college is a desire of most students.
How each student achieves success is indicative of the development of
good "student-centered" habits. |
