SAIL- Sea Aggies Involved in Learning

The Sea Aggies Involved in Learning (SAIL) Program is the Provisional Admission program at TAMUG that gives students a unique chance to gain full admission for the following Fall semester by taking courses during the Summer II Term. The required Application of Learning Theory course, CAEN 101, aims to assist students in developing the necessary skills needed for successful matriculation in higher education and transition smoothly to the Fall semester.  SAIL students participate in the SAIL
Living Learning Community (LLC), in which they live together in a Residence Hall, and meet regularly to learn in and outside the classroom.

Students do not apply to SAIL, but are offered a seat in the program.  SAIL students are granted provisional admission to TAMUG for the Summer II term. Upon successful completion of SAIL, students will no longer be considered provisional, but will be fully admitted to TAMUG for the following fall semester.  It is important that SAIL students understand that the successful completion of the SAIL program is a prerequisite for being fully admitted to the university.
