TSI Compliance Status

Want to know if you are TSI Compliant according to TAMUG?

Most students admitted to TAMUG are TSI Compliant, but we are often missing the documentation needed to prove that students are College Ready. Your TSI Status will let you know if we are missing any information or you do not meet the minimum state standards in a specific subject area.

Log in to your Howdy Portal and select either the Applicant or My Record tab. In the Texas Success Initiative box, select the TSI and Core Curriculum link.

If you are TSI Compliant, your Overall status will list as "College Ready" and no additional action is needed on your part:

If you are not TSI Compliant in one or more areas or have not turned in/the University has not received the documentation to update your status, your Overall status will list as "Not College Ready" and the deficient Subject Area(s) will list as "Not Complete in this area":

Students that are not TSI Compliant should take the TSI Assessment as soon as possible and send in official scores. Click here to view TSI Assessment College-Readiness Cut-Scores.

Students that meet minimum standards, but currently have a Not College Ready status due to the lack of documentation should send official scores earned to update your status as soon as possible.

If you are not TSI Compliant in one or more areas or have not turned in/the University has not received the documentation needed to update your status, there will be an Administrative BT Hold on your account that prevents course registration:

This hold will remain and course registration will be blocked until official documentation proving TSI Compliance has been received and processed by TAMUG.

Please contact the Office of Academic Enhancement at (409) 741-4343 or ACEN@tamug.edu
if you have any questions about your TSI Compliance Status.
