Registration

Registration Channel

Registration Time Assignment: Indicates when each student can register for courses, this time varies each semester.

Search Class Schedule:  Can be used to view the semesters, days, and times in which classes are offered. This can also be used to register for courses once the time assignment is open.

  • Select the appropriate “Galveston” term.
  • Select the desired subject.

Course Search Headings

Add/Drop: Can be used to register for multiple courses at once by adding CRNs to the “worksheet”. Schedules can be edited in this section as well.

Lab Safety Acknowledgement: Has to be accepted EVERY semester! Once it has been accepted, DO NOT hit the back arrow (this will un-accept the lab safety), return to Howdy Home. If a course requires a lab safety acknowledgement but it has not been accepted, there will be a “student attribute restriction” and you will not be able to register for the course.

Grades & Transcripts

 Grades and Transcripts Channel

Grades: Students can  view their midterm and final grades for the current semester.

Transcripts: Students can  order their official transcripts and view their unofficial transcripts.

Holds: It is important that students check their holds EVERY SEMESTER to ensure there are no holds preventing registration for the upcoming semester, ordering official transcripts, or even graduation.

Credit by Examination: Students can accept or reject AP, CLEP, DSST, IB, and SAT II credit; once a decision has been made it is permanent. Students should only accept credit that applies to their desired degree to avoid excess credit hours and penalties.
