Undergraduate Minor in Ocean and Coastal Resources
Students in other majors may establish a minor field of study in Ocean and Coastal Resources through the completion of at least 16 hours of the follow ing courses:

GEOL 104 Physical Geology
or OCNG 251/252 Oceanography/Oceanography Laboratory
Select 3-6 hours from the following courses:
MARS 410 Introduction to Physical Oceanography
MARS 430 Introduction to Geological Oceanography
MARS 431 Geological Oceanography - Earth’s Climate
MARS 440 Introduction to Chemical Oceanography
OCNG 420 Introduction to Biological Oceanography
Select 3-7 hours from the following courses:
MARS 370 Coastal Processes
MARS 423 Ecological Economics
MARS 425/426 Coastal Wetlands Management (and Lab)
MARS 432 Peak Oil, Global Warming and Resource Scarcity
MARA 470 Environmental Law
