I am a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology with a focus on environmental health & restoration and a minor in Diving Technologies. I became interested in this field when I took an aquatic science class in high school and my teacher who was a TAMUG graduate pointed me in the right direction. This interest led me to Dr.Quigg’s lab, where I have officially started tasks associated with the Aggregation and Degradation of Dispersants and Oil by Microbial Exopolymers (ADDOMEx) project and the Galveston Bay project. Being a part of these projects gives me a great sense of purpose knowing that what I do here not only helps me gain invaluable experience but also lays the groundwork for a healthier ocean.
