Congratulations to the TAMUG Varsity Sailing Team

(Sept. 17, 2011) -- Members of the TAMUG Sailing Team competed in the Southeastern Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SEISA) Singlehanded Qualifiers, and  placed first, third, and fifth in the Men’s Division and first, and third in the Women’s Division.

(Oct. 1 & 2, 2011) -- Members also traveled to Fort Worth to compete in the SEISA Sloop three-man Qualifiers. After two round-robins, the TAMUG and College Station teams advanced to finals for a best-of-five sail-off. In the finals, College Station won three races to TAMUG’s two wins.

Again, congratulations to TAMUG for a well fought battle, and good luck to our counterparts in College Station who qualified for Nationals in San Francisco in November.
