To Pat and Jim McCloy
Who have brought us so much joy
Your contributions sublime
Were ahead of their time
Allowing the Forces of Good to deploy.

From Pat and Jim we sought
The maturity and wisdom they taught
Though Jim’s Hawaiian shirt
Made our eyes hurt
With creativity their actions were fraught.

So Thank You Pat and Jim
This building is really Your Gym
The students will remember
Your dedication as an ember
So your contributions will never dim.

The dedication of the Jim and Pat McCloy Arena occurred at 3 pm, Friday, January 20 at the TAMUG Physical Education Facility. This arena in Jim’s memory honors his 36 years of devoted service to TAMUG as faculty member, administrator and Professor Emeritus. Jim and his wife Pat were involved in community service in Galveston and were avid sports fans. The arena in their honor will be a multi-purpose facility, where events as well as student activities and concerts will take place.
