“Since
I posted last, I’ve moved from the grand metropolis of Corpus
Christi and have moved to Houston working back in the transportation
business again. I have seen several former TAMUGers since I’ve
been in Texas between work and play. I’ve been here for about
6 months now. It’s good being back into a normal society again…yeah,
the traffic is horrific, but that’s a small price to pay.”
Heather Young 95

After college, I moved to Houston for 3 years and worked for an environmental
consulting firm. In 1998, I moved back to the island to work for the
government at NMFS as a conservation biologist (my current job). I
just completed my 1st course towards an MS in Marine Resource
Management at TAMUG. I think it would be nice to have more alumni
services (job posting website) and also an alumni get together. However,
to be successful, this would require input from other former students
as to what types of activities they would want to see. Email is a
great way to solicit input.
