I have worked for W&O Supply since graduation. First two years
in Singapore, now in Houston. W&O is the largest distributor of
marine and naval valves and pipe, and pipe fittings. We have about
fifteen offices.My wife, Amy Beth Neblett (formerly Onstott) is a
97 MARB graduate. She is in the process of completing the Region
IV Emergency Certification Program for teachers, while teaching high
school Biology full time at Pearland High.

International Port Security Team. Lots of travel and a heavy work

"After graduating in '94, I went to Law School at Texas Tech. I received
my JD in '97 and got married later that summer. Directly after the
honeymoon, we packed up and moved to Seattle, WA. I am currently a
Ski Instructor at a mountain 45 minutes outside the Seattle area.
I teach children to ski and I love it."

After graduation in 1994 went to work for Biehl & Co. vessel agency
for 2 years. Left Biehl & Co. and went to work for American
Eagle Tankers as a Vessel Operations Executive and later Chartering
Executive performing duties such as operating and lightering and chartering
of Aframax crude oil tankers to import crude oil into the gulf and
east coast for all major oils companies. After two years with
American Eagle Tankers I moved to Southern California and was hired
by Marine Terminals Corporation. We are the largest contract
stevedore and terminal operating company on the west coast.
I started as a terminal Superintendent gaining experience in all areas
of terminal operations and stevedoring. Currently I am the night
operations manager at Berth 126 in the port of Los Angeles.
We are one of the largest multi-user facilities on the west coast
with customers such as Yang Ming Line, China Shipping Line, Trans
Pacific Line, K-Line, Cosco, Zim, CMA, and Norasia and are continuing
to grow.We have several openings for superintendent trainees and we
are very interested in those with any industry related experience.

" I've been working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
for almost three years. My job duties are to work with a team to design
and construct a variety of projects (Environmental Restoration projects,
hurricane protection, levee projects, Grand Isle Dune restoration,
and flood control projects). I'm the Environmental Manager for regulatory
permit investigating development of a new international airport for
the New Orleans area. Prior to working for the USACE, I worked for
the State of Florida for 13 years. My wife, April, works for a local
hospital as Director of Medical Staffing. Our son just started the
fourth grade."

As a senior project engineer and traveling to the different offshore
rigs in the fleet I run across a lot of seagoing aggies.1/22/01
After working for a large offshore drilling contractor, Richard went
back to being self-employed. He says it is easier that way there is
no one to answer to.

in Channelview. Mark is a Mooring Master for MTL Pertolink and
I am running one of the 2 line handling companies in the Port of Houston.
We have 2 children, Rachael who is 9 and Matthew who is 6.

license to Master. Came shoreside in 97 to be with family and continued
to work at Coastal as a Port Captain/Marine Safety. Just accepted
a position with MTL Petrolink as a Mooring Master.

Teaching inorganic and organic chemistry labs at TAMUG since Fall
1996. Selected as "Most Effective Teacher" by students
for the 1997-1998 school year. Playing roller hockey with the
students is keeping me young (or at least not fat) !

"After graduating in 1996, I moved to Melbourne, Florida
for a masters degree. In 1998, I married Leigh Roberson (TAMUG ’96)
and we moved to Miami Beach for 6 years. I worked as a coastal engineer
in south Florida and the Caribbean. Recently we had a little girl,
Kyla, in 11/03 and just moved back to Texas to Corpus Christi. I am
still doing coastal engineering out her at Shiner Moseley & Associates.
I am glad to be back near friends."

Doug Peter (MARB '93) and Lynette West (MARS '93) were overjoyed
at the birth of their twin son and daughter, Kier Fredirick West Peter
and Nilayah Sloan West Peter on August 12, 2003. They are both taking
a couple of months off from work to enjoy the beginning of this new
adventure in their lives. They are also quite lucky that their families
are willing to baby-sit so that Doug and Lynette can continue their
ski/snowboarding trips!

"Spent 7 years sailing around the world on a 37 foot sloop CHRYSALIS.
Helped the ELISSA return from New York in 1986. After 11 years as
a harbor pilot on St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands, now enjoying
time off to live in Amsterdam, where my wife Maria has a home. We
met while crew aboard the four masted barque SEA CLOUD."

“Retired in 2000 from the Navy as a Rear Admiral (upper half)
after 30 plus years flying Corsairs/Hornets off all carriers in the
Pacific and commanded two squadrons and a wing. Commanded a support
ship during Desert Storm and subsequent to that commanded the aircraft
carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). After selection to Flag rank, spent
2 yrs in NATO in Belgium, followed by command of carrier group one
in San Diego. Last tour was Director for Operations US Pacific Command
in Hawaii. Now have 6700 folks who do all the work to fix, supply
and launch the 4 shuttles."

Worked at Houston Zoo aquarium for two years immediately after graduating.
Self promotion to work at the Texas State Aquarium as their collection
and quarantine aquarist for 3 and ˝ years. Started work at Dallas
Aquarium at Fair Park as supervisor in 1996. Spend a lot of time training
for marathons and racing. SCUBA dive as much as possible Costa
Rica, Honduras, Belize
No kids yet, but pets currently fill that
space. Looking to start grad school for business administration
in the next year or so.

I just moved to Manchester, CT from Galveston with my fiancé,
Alex Weber whom also graduated from TAMUG. We are currently planning
our fall wedding, which will take place in Vermont. I am now working
as an engineering consultant for Alstom Power, a worldwide provider
of power generation services and equipment.

Paula tells us: "After many years at Sea World of Florida,
I returned with my family to Texas and my responsibilities at The
Dallas World Aquarium have included overseeing the marine and freshwater
aquariums, as well as permitting, and PR conservation programs. I
am an active participant in the American Zoo and Aquarium Association
and have presented several papers and posters at their National Conference.
I am also an active member of the Marine Fish Taxon Advisory Group
(TAG), the Marine Mammal TAG, The International Aquarium Congress,
and serve on the steering committee of the Venezuelan Conservation
Action Partnership."
